All deposits are non refundable. A minimum of 14 days notice is required to cancel or reschedule a course. Where sufficient notice is given, we may offer: a one time reschedule or a course credit, which is to be used within 6 months.
Late Cancellations made within 14 days of the course starting are non refundable and non transferable, because kits, resources and scheduling will already have been arranged.
Non attendance - failure to attend all or part of the course for any reason, without prior notice will is treated as a cancellation and no refund or transfer will be issued.
2. Course Bookings & Payment Terms
All course places must be secured with either full payment or a non refundable deposit, depending on the course. A place is not confirmed until payment has been received. Payment plans are made with the 3rd party provider and not with Make Me Shine.
3. Health, Safety & Insurance Disclaimer
Learners are responsible for their own health and safety during training.
Any medical conditions, allergies or injuries must be disclosed prior to learning.
Make Me Shine academy is not responsible for any adverse reactions caused by failure to disclose relevant information.
Learners are responsible for obtaining their own insurance before carrying out treatments on paying clients after qualification.
4. Course Changes
in the unlikely event that we need to cancel or reschedule a course, learners will be offered:
A full refund or an alternative training date. We will endeavour to give as much notice as possible.
We are not liable for any additional costs incurred e.g travel, accommodation or child care.
5. Agreement Statement
By booking a course with Make Me Shine, you confirm that you:
Have read and understood these policies & terms
Agree to be bound by them
Accept responsibility for meeting the course requirements
6. Age Policy - Under 18's
Make Me Shine academy accepts learners aged 16 years +
Learners aged 16-17 must have written parental or guardian consent prior to the course start date. A meeting will be offered for parents / guardians to meet the teachers.
Proof of age will be requested
Due to insurance, qualifications and safeguarding requirements, some courses are restricted to learners aged 18+. Where this applies, it will be clearly stated on the course page.
Any bookings made that do not meet the age requirement for a specific course will be cancelled.
This policy is in place to ensure learners safety, compliance and suitability for professional training.
